iminological and sociological theories may help explain why violent crimes persist on the Navajo reservation to a higher degree than violent crimes found in other parts of American society. For example, violence could be social because violence is contingent upon the situation, culturally and sub culturally patterned, and historically variable. Murder could be an impulse and considered psychological. Fear, hatred, and/or dissociation could be the causal emotional factors behind every murder. These theories may support the reasons why violent crimes happen. Additionally, a comprehensive stance on today's Glittering World and how this world is linked to violence will be presented from the Navajo viewpoint.
