When a crow stops by a farmhouse and hears a mama singing to her little girl, she wishes so much that she could sing, even though crows are generally not known for their beautiful voices.
Crow visits her friend Penelope the pig and asks for advice. How can she learn to sing? Penelope doesn't know much about singing, but her friend Wren has a lovely singing voice. Soon Penelope and Crow set out to find some help so that Crow can learn to sing. From the wren and the blue jay to the chickadee and the robin, the friends visit various songbirds, hoping to find out how Crow can sing. But it isn't until they get some help from the wise owl that they realize it will take all of them working together to do something great.
Drawing on the charm of farm life in Vermont, this children's story of courage and friendship tell the tale of a crow who wants to learn how to sing.
