When a young man named Trevor inherits his grandfather's home after his passing, he discovers a box of letters labelled "Kasia my love." Wanting to learn more about his grandfather, Trevor starts reading the letters. But as he reads them, he begins to experience what is written in the letters. He discovers a love that was like no other, a love that was way before its time.

As Trevor dives into his grandfather's letters, spiritual and magical things begin happening in his life. Searching for answers to why these things are happening, Trevor is sent on a journey that leads him all the way to the forests of Poland.

Todd Love Ball Jr. wrote this story from his heart. "My wife is from Poland. I happen to be a black American, and we have had some great experiences. I wanted to write a good story and be able to mix in some of our experiences. Readers will get to know us as a couple in real life." The author is originally from Los Angeles, but spent most of his adult life in Illinois. "The interesting part about the book is there is a heavy Polish influence, and Illinois and Chicago have the most Polish people, two million, aside from Poland itself."
