1I always thought being a kid was supposed to be easy, but I guess that's for kids that have a real daddy. My name is Emily, and I never knew my real father. In a million years, I would never thought that the man I have always looked at as my dad would abuse me from the time I was eleven to sixteen years old. Having no one to turn to, I cried myself to sleep every night, feeling ashamed, dirty, and alone. My years of pain and suffering finally ended when my mother found out. But my story does not end there. I have found happiness with my family; this is my journey of healing.
