The 2021 album Road to the Sun is an unexpected and genre-defying new recording from 20-time Grammy Award-winning guitarist/composer Pat Metheny featuring Jason Vieaux and the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet. The new release marks Metheny's recording debut as a chamber composer and has been hailed as "a major addition to the guitar quartet literature" by the San Francisco Classical Voice .
