In Tyler Makes Friends, a young boy who very much wants to be understood goes about his daily routine and explains what it's like to live a day in his shoes. His teacher encourages him to give making a friend a try by simply saying Hi. The world would be such an awesome place if we could just look at each other, smile, and say "Hello " Tyler feels accomplished and proud by the end of the book. More importantly, he feels accepted by his peers.
