Jazzy, a cute loveable, brown and white dog, and her friend Rain go to the park to play. New dogs come into the park, but Rain tells Jazzy she can't play with them for one silly reason or another (no tail, sharp ears etc.). Jazzy and Rain soon learn that you cannot judge another dog by the way it looks.
This book provides a great opportunity for educators to discuss first impressions, friendships and diversity. It is about learning to form your own opinion based on your own interactions not what others say.
The book is geared towards young children but reads on a first-grade level.
The book uses photographs as illustrations.
