Wally, Where'd You Get Those Glasses? is a memoir by Wallace Safford that focuses on his longstanding work in security for iconic singers and music groups, including the Commodores, Parliament Funkadelic, Earth, Wind & Fire and Teddy Pendergrass. It culminates with Safford's move as a personal bodyguard for Prince at the height of his career to becoming one of the Academy Award-winning musician's background dancers and singers on stage. The song "Wally" was Prince's tribute tune to the Detroit native, who at one time was his trusted confidante.
