When nine-year-old Cole Adams and a group of friends discover what appears to be an alien spacecraft buried on his father's farm, the government covers up its extraterrestrial origins by claiming it is an experimental airplane. The highly advanced space travel technology retrieved from the crashed ship is sent to a top-secret military facility, and the incident is believed to be contained.

But years later Cole discovers something that was left behind: a damaged alien humanoid powered by artificial intelligence. By working with the alien's technology, Cole hones his skills as an AI savant. After college he is recruited by Round Robotics, run by a shadowy billionaire industrialist. Cole soon stumbles on the company's involvement in a diabolical plot that reaches into the highest levels of the US Government. With nobody to trust and nowhere to turn, Cole is reluctantly forced to befriend a mysterious Department of Defense consultant, who needs Cole's help to bring down Round Robotics. But the alliance could cost Cole everything.

While tracking a human trafficking ring that kidnaps young women and sells them to the highest international bidder, FBI Special Agent Wyatt Miller discovers one of the missing women happens to have ties to Round Robotics. Working independently, Agent Miller and Cole discover Round Robotics is ground zero for a heinous deep-state conspiracy put in play by a cabal of powerful capitalists who will stop at nothing to accomplish their mission. Can either of them stay alive long enough to expose the conspiracy and bring the perpetrators to justice?

Buried Code is a riveting, suspenseful page-turner with twists and turns and a shocking conclusion that are hallmarks of J.P. Farrell novels, which include The Common Cure and the Slip of the Hand trilogy.
