Magic is dying,

Humanity is losing its connection to the gods.

One girl may hold the key. Held captive by the tyrant, King Vladminir, 17-yr-old Erryn longs to escape with her sister from the regime of experimentation they have been subjected to. When her chance comes, she is devastated at being separated from her sister, fearing her dead. Forced into hiding, Erryn takes refuge with Oracle, whose benevolent friendship she trusts implicitly. One day, she ventures too far from her hideout and is nearly captured by the king's forces. Drotonic saves her and takes her to Nija, a place of magic, where Erryn is saddened to learn that magic is dying as humanity has lost its connection to the gods. Erryn doesn't see how she can help until Vladimir's forces invade Nija and the fire god, Zaravarn, rescues her, revealing her to be a summoner capable of restoring the gods to the people. Erryn's decision whether to take up the calling and save magic is clouded by her desire to find her sister.
