My inspiration for this book of poems was based on my life story, my hopes and wants in life, the love I dreamed of having one day, and the confidence of being a voluptuous black woman.

My journey was often altered with the worries of the world, and at times it was very hard to express myself.

So I found it by writing poems. I could express myself in any way I wanted to and didn't feel bad about it because I was speaking from the heart.

It's the thankful, loving, confident person that I am and I will always long to be. I have captured the real me through paper.
