Toni and Mark need a getaway from their busy lives in Chicago. They arrive at their weekend getaway cottage in Union Pier, Michigan, but when Mark pushes the button to start their newly installed jetted tub, blood gushes out of the jets!

Police initially write it off as a Halloween prank. Three days later, a well-known Chicago politician's body is discovered next door-he has been brutally murdered. Almost everyone in the neighborhood, including Toni, seems to have a motive for the murder.

Toni decides that, to clear her name, she will have to solve the crime herself. She ends up within seconds-and inches-of becoming the next victim.
