Over time, the Balance was lost and men sought power. Fear grew wild. Men ate this fear and filled themselves with cruelty.

The dragons multiplied and ravaged the Earthlands. Men fought to keep them at bay. The church put bounties on their heads. New weapons were forged to pierce their scales. Whole armies were created to limit their incursions. And still their shadow grew.

In a world ravaged by pestis, death consumed its people. During the Time of Trials an ancient lineage of wizards, the Formorians, were summoned to end the rule of the Red Emperor. But, in the end, one of their own presented the greatest threat to the restoration of harmony. A young wizard, discovering his power to wield the Forms, finds himself challenged to restore the Balance and battle the Lords of darkness.

We wonder now, where are the dragons of old? Where are the wizards of legend? The annals of this time had remained shrouded in secrecy for millennium. But now, in the time of revelation, the names can be spoken and the true history restored.
