Fired by Batman, Dick Grayson is adrift. Unsure of what to do and where to turn, he seeks solace from familiar sources, starting with a visit to the Man of Steel, Superman. He also checks in on the circus where the Flying Graysons were the main attraction, only to find himself unable to avoid fighting crime.

Grayson's odyssey clarifies his thinking and gives him direction. Donning a brand-new uniform, he takes a new name and charts a course that makes the Boy Wonder a man.
