This book is the life story of Richard Odell, which well illustrates Jesus' offer of "life in its fulness" (John 10, 10); from discovering the Big Wide World and visiting at least 55 countries, to sinking deep roots in the rural communities of the Himalayas.

With loving support and encouragement from family and friends he discovered that a difficult childhood was no barrier to a fulfilling life; first in farming, then in agricultural development in Zambia and Nepal and then moving on to community development. Retirement didn't mean stopping but was an opportunity to use past skills and experiences in helping others.
