Forget the premiership, forget the championship, forget football leagues 1 and 2 and to an extent, the national league, and forget professional referees. This is the true story of one man's love and involvement playing, managing, and scouting with non-league football, whether it be park football, Saturday, Sunday, F.A. youth representative football and all types of representative football, and good non-league senior clubs. All the fun, the sadness, the happy days, the dramas, the tv debut that lasted for a couple of years, my own football column in a local newspaper for years, and walking out with Surrey F.C. at Wembley. Also the chairmen, the non-league referees, some good, some bad, working hard on ground improvements and receiving no financial reward whatsoever, only the great memories that I wish to share with you in my book and relive my experiences as I believe as a football fan or player you would have at least experienced one, or if not some, of my situations. I am sure that when you start to read it, you will not want to stop, as every page has as near to the truth the thoughts from myself Micky (Turka) Taylor, the good, the bad and sometimes the bloody ugly side. This book is a must for all football fans, from grassroots football to top non-league and just maybe some of the followers of the overpaid, overpriced, premiership clubs and players who might just enjoy my ride of 60 years in the game'.
