1This fourth volume of
Companion continues on the quest for Truth, a quest that will never end. Whenever I look at other translations of the Bible, the most popular translations, there are glaring evidences of tradition that stubbornly resist change. This is partly due to seminaries and Bible colleges using the same resources that they had been using for generations and the teachers teaching what they had been taught. Higher education is supposed to inspire new exploration, encouraging the search for Truth. That is what the One New Man Bible is about and what each Companion volume is about, so expect to find new insight as you read this volume.
In Volume IV the Amplified Bible is added to the KJV and NIV in illustrating the traditions in our Christian translations. All three of those translations are representative of Christian English translation, which continue hundreds of years of Tradition in our translations. Tradition is often the enemy of Truth, which is what the
One New Man Bible exposes. We serve the God of Truth, the One Who said, "I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life." Do not think this book is out to pick on those three translations because they are simply examples with those Traditions persisting in many English translations.
