When a mysterious cataclysm suddenly begins to ravage Earth, many people start vanishing amid the destruction and devastation, along with the disappearance of vital components within society's infrastructure. A revelation of the cause of the despoliation is set in motion with the arrival of strange, technologically-advanced vehicles traveling the continents to collect the people that had not been evanesced during the initial catastrophe.
