The power that is believed to control a person's destiny; the unchangeable fixed natural order.

After the birth of his daughter, Lucia Grace, Dylan develops a headache like he's never experienced, and soon finds out that it is a call from the Fates. He finds himself called before the three higher angels who are notoriously known as the Angels of Destiny where they bestow upon him a prophecy for his daughter. They also offer him a deal that calls to his most inner desires; a life with wings.

The infamous trio gives him his wings for forty-eight hours and sends him home to make his decision; his wings and ascension to Heaven where he can be Serena's official Guardian Angel, or to remain on Earth with his family. What seems like an easy decision is made harder when Dylan learns that there will be a price to turning down the offer of ascension; but how do you make a decision when you don't know what the alternative is?

Faced with an impossible decision, Dylan must decide whether or not he can face a life without Serena and his newborn daughter, or whether he is prepared to say no, and face the unknown consequences dished out by an angel older than the world around him.
