1Rainer Fetting belongs to a group of young artists which made furore as "Young Wilds" (Neue Wilde) in 1980. The intense paintings were emotional and direct, very colourful, and objective. He got famous with his portrait of Willy Brandt. His international breakthrough came in 1981 with the exhibition "A New Spirit in Painting."
