ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

The further away your are from the news, the closer you will be to happiness. This is how Gabriel Medina thinks and lives. Up to the day when, all of a sudden, the police arrest his psychiatrist. From that moment on, a different order seems to take hold of his life and push it toward an unexpected fate.

In an attempt to help his therapist, Gabriel gets caught up in a police plot and ends at the core of a media scandal. Desperate, he believes only a love story, born from chance, could help him face this hallucinating daily life, where the real and the imaginary mingle, where everything seems to be a continuous exercise in itself and the only certainty is uncertainty.

Alberto Barrera Tyszka takes us yet again into a rampant story, with a fast and enigmatic narrative, charged with a peculiar lyricism. The End of Sadness is a challenging novel that explores the fragility of truth, the complexity of human relations, and the limits of our perception of what is real.
