Rowan Winterbourne lives alone in an isolated lighthouse on the coast of California. She owns a firm called The Fixer, working for a select group of clients orchestrating arrangements to make their lives easier. She does most of her work online or on the phone--rarely, if ever, leaving the protection of her home.
But when a man appears on her doorstep, knowing her real name and the tumultuous events that ripped her from her family in the suburbs, she's terrified. She's done everything she possibly could to disappear and leave what happened all those years ago behind her. But now that he's found her, this man won't rest until he gets what he wants, and he's using Rowan's baby sister, now seventeen years old, to force her into helping him.
