A decade ago, Peter Toombs faced his own demons: grief and disappointment. Now he's on the trail for new stories to tell and he's come to Blackhawk, Utah, to hear Maddie's story. The past, however, also doesn't let go without a fight.

Together, they will learn the dark secrets of Blackhawk's past, including enemies old and new, familiar and unknown.
