We become trapped because we experience emotional pain that holds us hostage until we can heal and release it. Most of our emotional pain began in childhood when we didn't have the resources to heal it, so the pain was suppressed into the unconscious mind. Our painful memories then continue to control many aspects of our lives right into adulthood. To heal our souls, we must remember that we embody the love of our Creator, and anything less than love is generated from the fear of not being enough for this world.
The first step to self-love is self-awareness. Without self-awareness, we tend to live from a false sense of self based on what we believe the world will accept. When we are no longer living in authenticity, we become too reliant on the ego mind to guide us through the physical journey instead of seeking guidance through spiritual wisdom.
The only way to learn more about our significance and value in this world, as both human and spirit, is by healing the emotions that keep our painful memories alive and active.
It takes deep healing and a spiritual awakening to clear the distorted reality trapped in our minds so we can return to our authentic selves and embrace the physical experience like the miracles we are.
We already embody self-love. We will feel it within us when we release all the barriers that keep us from experiencing it.
