Maurice Leblanc was a French writer, who worked as a journalist and wrote crime and adventure novels. One of his most famous characters is the master thief Arsène Lupin, who saw the light of day around 1905.
Leblanc was awarded the Order of the Legion d'honneur for services to French literature.
