It shows the deep bond created between father and daughter during this special time together. This book is based on a true story when the author's husband took her on a whale watching adventure for her birthday. It took place during their summer vacation in Nova Scotia, Cape Breton National Park. Her husband knew how much she loved whales and always dreamed of seeing a whale up close and personal. This experience was truly exhilarating and was the inspiration for this book.
