description
in 2003 by Mark S. Woodson at age 27. Although written twenty years ago, the passing of the author's father in 2022 inspired him to publish the book. Identification Crisis is the first book of two, a story of an African American early teen from a predominantly White suburb of Baltimore in the early 1990s, but the story is not just about him but also his parents, who are in their early to midforties, who have experienced a high degree of career success in corporate America. Despite that, the father and mother are having themselves a crisis dealing with transitions that present a challenge to the family. The story explores identification challenges of an African American family at different stages of their lives and from different generational perspectives.
