At the same time, the family involved in her article on Batten Disease, a child-killing illness, captures her heart. As she faces career challenges, Jesse also struggles with single parenting her son JOSH and facing her own dysfunctional and emotionally abusive childhood. Since Randy came into her life, faith and forgiveness are now questions begging to be answered.
