In 2002, I took my first Coues buck, and the ride began. This morphed into a couple decades obsession to kill these big mature Coues bucks. I'm an Arizona guy, and these are all Arizona bucks. All of them were taken DIY. Four of them grossed over 120 inches, including the 141-inch Pope and Young gross (143-inch SCI) archery buck from 2016, the still standing Pope and Young velvet nontypical world record. I've included a lot of other bucks in these chapters, as well as the fundamental and unorthodox ways I've hunted and killed them.
If you are reading this, the fire probably already burns within. I hope this stokes it!
This is a book about hunting the elusive Coues Deer, otherwise known as the Great Ghost.
